Hi families!  The year is quickly coming to a close! I will be continuing reassessments throughout the week, as well as wrapping up their F&P reading assessments.  Since we will not have library on Monday, Mrs. Gruchot will be coming into our room on Wednesday to collect any library books. Overdue notices went home on Friday. Please make sure students send in any library books they have by Wednesday.  We will be walking to Kiwanis Park on Tuesday! We will have an earlier lunch so we will not be eating at the park. We will leave the school at 1:00, and stay at the park until 3:00. Parents are welcome to meet us there! This week:  Monday: Memorial Day, No School Tuesday: Art, Kiwanis Park  Wednesday: Late start, no special  Thursday: PE Friday: Music   Upcoming Dates: Field Day 6/5 Half Days 6/6-6/9 Last day of school: 6/9

Hi families!  We will be taking the math NWEA on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We will begin testing at 10:00, so please try to avoid scheduling appointments around that time. Students are allowed to bring in gum or mints, but they must stay in their locker until testing begins.  For those of you interested in having your child work on math at home, last week we completed unit 8/lessons 1-4. This week we will be working on unit 8/lessons 5-9. Practice using the IXL textbook would be beneficial.  Kiwanis Park - We will be walking to Kiwanis on May 30th. We will be changing our lunchtime on that day so we can eat before we go. We will not be eating at the park. We plan to be there from 1:00-3:00. Hi families!  We had such an amazing time at the track meet on Friday. The kids did a great job and had a lot of fun! Thank you to Ashley Spies for bringing and pulling the wagon with the kids water bottles. We all appreciate you!  I would also like to thank all of the students and parents for making my first teacher appreciation week a blast! Thank you so much for all of the treats, gifts, and notes, as well as the recess duty that was covered by parents. I definitely felt very appreciated :)  NWEA Reading will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday if needed. We will begin testing at 10:00, so please try to avoid scheduling appointments around that time. Students are allowed to bring in gum or mints, but they must stay in their locker until testing begins.  For those of you interested in having your child work on math at home, last week we completed unit 7 on geometry.   Hi families! From our Student Council: Our student council Coins for Community fundraiser has begun. Students are encouraged to bring in any loose change they can donate to support our community. The track meet is Friday at the high school track from 11:30-2:30. Parents are welcome to meet us there and walk with us through the events. Students will compete in the 4 events that they have been practicing in PE. All students need to bring a water bottle to the track meet. We are in need of a wagon and a parent to pull the wagon with the students' water bottles around to the different events with us. Please email me if you are available! We are also in need of healthy snacks like string cheese, orange slices, bananas, and carrots to eat in the classroom afterward. Please let me know if you can send in any healthy foods with your child that day.     Yearbooks went home on Friday. If you would like to order a yearbook, there are still some for sale in the office for $12,...
