Hello and welcome to our 4th grade blog! I am so excited to start our school year and to get to know your child better. Here are some important things to know:

    • Students should be reading their good fit book every night, and bookmarks should be initialed/signed.
    • We do have a peanut allergy and a tree nut allergy in our classroom. Please do not send these for your student's classroom snack. If you pack a lunch at home, peanut butter and nuts can be in that, just not in our classroom.
    • We do not have planners yet, but will hopefully soon. For the time being, we will write reminders on a piece of paper labeled planner to send home. This should be checked by parents and students.
    • Please make sure your student has headphones/earbuds if possible. (I do have extras and will assign them if needed).
    • There are no specials on late start days.
    • Students need a water bottle and a healthy snack everyday.

For Back To School Night, we would like to make it an interactive night where you get to know your child's device and how to help him/her use it at home! More information will be coming.

Snacks in the Classroom

Please make sure that everyday snacks are quick and easy for your child to handle. For example please no yogurt, pudding, uncut fruit, or messy items for everyday snacks. This avoids spilling on our school devices, furniture, etc. These snacks work better in the lunchroom. Also, NO peanut butter for snacks in the classroom. Thank you for your understanding.

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate their birthdays in our class, please bring in non-food items. For example instead of cupcakes maybe pencils. Sometimes parents put together little gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything!
