Hi families!
Our class has finished reading Because of Winn Dixie, and we are so close to reaching our reward for class paperclips! We would like to celebrate with a party and movie to honor the beautiful story of Winn Dixie on Friday, November 11th. But we need your help! In the book, Opal throws a party for her friends that include some unique items. We would like to do the same :) Here is a link to a sign up sheet if you are able to help. If possible, please send in the items by Friday morning. The drinks are to make "dump punch" as referenced in the book. Here is the link to the recipe if you would like to take a look. Thank you for all of your help!
If you filled out the chromebook google form about computers being sent home, I will start sending those home this week! If you want your child's chromebook to be sent home, please fill out this form.

Writing: We will continue learning about and writing our personal narratives.
Math: Unit 3: Students learn that a fraction a/b is a product of a whole number 'a' and a unit fraction 1/b, or a/b = a × 1/b, and that n × a/b = (n × a)/b. Students learn to add and subtract fractions with like denominators, and to add and subtract tenths and hundredths.
Science: (Our focus is currently on Social Studies)
Social Studies: We will continue learning about the "hats" of Social Studies, focusing on political scientist this week.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
