Our trip to Lansing is Thursday, May 4, 2023! 

Things to know……..

  • Check the weather in the morning! Please dress appropriately and wear comfy shoes.

We will be walking outside often! 

  • Chaperones and students will meet in the classroom at 7:15 AM. Chaperones will

receive an agenda, names of students in their charge, and instructions. The bus is

leaving at 7:30 AM promptly. 

  • Chaperones and students will need a morning snack, lunch, and a disposable drink

container. Everyone needs to keep their own lunch in their bag as we will eat lunch at
the Historical Museum at different times by class. 

  • Students may have one electronic device on the bus. 

  • Students may bring some money for the gift shop at the museum ($20 maximum & no

candy on the bus). 

  • Plan to pick up your child in the front of Lincoln School between 5:15-5:30. Please

make sure your child knows your phone number because kids can call or text from our
phones if the times change due to traffic on the way home.


We are also in need of snack donations for the afternoon snack. Thank you!

If you volunteered to chaperone, there is a $8 admission fee for the museum. Please send this in as soon as possible.



For those of you who are interested in having your child work on math at home, last week we completed unit 7/lesson 7-9 on geometry. This week we will complete unit 7/lessons 10-13. Practice using the IXL textbook would be beneficial to understanding this new concept of lines, angles, shapes, etc.  


Kiwanis Park - We will be walking to Kiwanis on May 30th. We will be changing our lunchtime on that day so we can eat before we go. We will not be eating at the park. More information will be coming. Parents/guardians are welcome to meet us there!

Hi Families!  Conferences are this week! Students have been working so hard on their slides and are excited to present them. Students will have a print out of the self reflection form they filled out, and they will go over this with you after the conference. Due to the short time we have together and the length of the slides, I will have you finish the conference slides in the hallway if we run out of time. I will have a desk set up in the hall with some chairs for you to finish. I will save five minutes for any questions you have or anything I need to mention. Thank you for understanding! Hi families!  We had such an amazing time at the track meet on Friday. The kids did a great job and had a lot of fun! Thank you to Ashley Spies for bringing and pulling the wagon with the kids water bottles. We all appreciate you!  I would also like to thank all of the students and parents for making my first teacher appreciation week a blast! Thank you so much for all of the treats, gifts, and notes, as well as the recess duty that was covered by parents. I definitely felt very appreciated :)  NWEA Reading will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday if needed. We will begin testing at 10:00, so please try to avoid scheduling appointments around that time. Students are allowed to bring in gum or mints, but they must stay in their locker until testing begins.  For those of you interested in having your child work on math at home, last week we completed unit 7 on geometry.   Hi families! Ice Skating Day will be this Thursday! We will start walking over to Howard Ice Arena at 9:40, and arrive at the rink around 9:55. Please make sure your student has warm clothes such as a coat, hat and gloves. Parents can meet us at the rink if you would like. We will need lots of help tying skates! Thank you! The Winter Party will be December 22nd from 11:45-12:45. A sign up sheet will be sent shortly.  Last week, I gave students their Unit 3 Math test to make corrections. I am still waiting for a couple students to take their test, so they will be sent home this week.  This Week:  Monday: Library Tuesday: Art Wednesday: Late Start/ No special  Thursday: PE, Ice Skating Day Friday: Music- Dress like a Grinch Day  Important Dates: Late Start: 12/14, 12/21 12/22: Winter Party, Ugly Sweater Day, Holiday Concert at SJHS 9:00-11:00 12/23: Winter Break starts, No School.
